Jamal Thomas Jones, 25, was charged Monday with attempted armed robbery and aggravated robbery, indicating he had a weapon, in the Sept. 17 incident.

URBANA — Bond has been set at $100,000 for an Urbana man who allegedly tried to rob a motorist.

Jamal Thomas Jones, 25, who listed an address in the 1100 block of Colorado Avenue, was charged Monday with attempted armed robbery and aggravated robbery, indicating he had a weapon. Jones is due back in court Nov. 6.
